Philosophy Football FC newsletter

Thanks to PFFC Legend Joe Boyle, PFFC now has its very own newsletter. The first issue was published in October 2009, and from now on we will publish three or four issues during the season.

PFFC NewsletterWe want to include all squad members in the writing, and look at all aspects of PFFC's cultural life, on and off the pitch, so please do think about something you'd like to write about and email Joe with your thoughts - he'd love to hear from you.

Here are some ideas for articles to write:
–– Essay: a football topic, the debate framed by PFFC's dissident position (even if the essay takes issue with that position)
–– Player profile: playing history; PFFC highlight; favourite professional players; desert island disc, book, luxury; etc.
–– Famous match: look back at a moment from the PFFC archive, be it a league, tour or friendly match
–– Story of a shirt: a look at a PF shirt, the story of the philosopher, the context of the quote, the theory behind the design
–– Season update: a quick summary of the state of the league, notes from a tour
–– Reviews: latest football books, films, interesting websites, music
–– Notices: forthcoming dates, book launches, parties, film nights, plus non-PFFC alternative football events calendar (e.g. Kick It Out events, appropriate tournaments)
–– Letters to the editor
